Our Team

With family roots that go back over a century, Jack and Alan are part of the well known family that founded Dom’s Market, the renowned New York purveyor of produce to the finest restaurants, big and small.

Dom’s Market initially started with local neighborhood deliveries using pushcarts to the local retailers and restaurants. Today the same services are provided, except the pushcart has been replaced by a refrigerated truck and the local neighborhood has changed to the metropolitan New York area.

Leader in the Industry

Over the years, Jack expanded the company by servicing many institutional accounts like steamship lines, airlines, commissaries, sporting and concert events. He built the company to having two dozen delivery trucks working 24/7 in the city, and the Dom’s Market name was recognized by all as a leader in the purveyor industry.

Over a period of more than 35 years, Jack has met and worked with just about every well known chef that was in the city. He had the honor of being mentioned in many cook books, including those authored by Daniel Boulud and Andre Saltner.

Traveled the World

Jack has also traveled the culinary world to find new produce items that enhance restaurant dishes. He worked with professors from Cornell to develop a line of products grown and shipped from the Caribbean basin, including sugar snap peas, baby vegetables, the French Bean — now staples from the Caribbean. He was one of the first direct receivers of radicchio from Italy, as well as Italian Muscat grapes from Sicily.

Jack and Alan take pleasure in turning their experience into value for the chef. Jack and Alan take pride in getting these chefs the best deal for their money on all of the products delivered… the best quality, the best flavor, the freshest produce.
